New Plymouth born artist, Peter Ransom has been described as ‘a consummate printmaker with the visual imagination of a born storyteller’ and is best known for his darkly illustrative etchings and woodcuts.
Philippa Blair (1945 -)
Philippa Blair is a New Zealand-born international artist residing in the USA and NZ. Blair is often referred to as an expressionist, derived from her use of vibrant colours and highly energised surfaces.
Jason Greig studied printmaking under Barry Cleavin and Denise Copland at the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in the early 1980s. Greig is considered one of NZ’s most significant contemporary printmakers, encompassing lithography, etching and monoprints, and is known for his shadowy prints and grim characters, with a sinister, gothic edge.
